Safe Horizon volunteers help us provide support, prevent violence, and promote justice for victims of crime and abuse, their families and communities. Our volunteer opportunities range from one-day projects to long-term commitments. Our volunteers range from those with a background in working with victims of crime and abuse to those who bring compassion and a willingness to learn. We have programs in all five boroughs. Our volunteer opportunities allow you to assist in our service to clients. We will help you find a volunteer position that suits your interests and schedule. Safe Horizon volunteers receive an introductory orientation and training. Long-term volunteers earn the opportunity for further, in-depth training.
